Pedestrian Killed by Motor Home While Waiting for a Bus in San Juan Capistrano

A 59 year old woman was waiting for a bus with a group of people at Park-and-Ride public transportation parking lot at Junipero Serra Road.  A motor home attempting to find a place to park ran into a truck and kept rolling.  The woman was trapped between the motor home and the truck.  Ultimately two additional cars became involved in the accident and two additional pedestrians were injured.

The three victims were taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where the woman succumbed to her injuries.  The other two victims are not facing life-threatening injuries, but will be recovering for quite a while.  The driver of the motor home remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.  While the driver may not face criminal charges, they are definitely responsible for the wrongful death of the woman, and the injuries to the other two victims.
