Pedestrian Fatally Struck While Crossing Anaheim Crosswalk

A pedestrian fatally struck and killed by a car early Monday morning was crossing a cross-walk near Disneyland in Anaheim. The pedestrian-automobile accident occurred on South Haster Street which is just south of Katella Avenue. The injured party was taken to a local area hospital with severe injuries, and unfortunately did not survive.

Pedestrian accidents produce some of the most serious injuries. Pedestrians do not have the same level of protection that vehicle occupants enjoy with seat-belts and airbags. Pedestrians that are struck can suffer very serious injuries which can include broken bones, head trauma/injuries, and internal injuries such as ruptured organs. Due to the very serious nature of these types of accidents, if you are involved in a pedestrian automobile accident, it is highly recommended to go to the Emergency Room in order to get proper medical evaluation and treatment.

After receiving treatment for your injuries, you may have a mountain of medical bills from different hospitals, ambulances, and doctors for their services. For serious accidents, these bills can go up to the five and six figure amounts. If you have been struck by a vehicle, it is more likely then not that the driver of the vehicle is at fault for the accident and your injuries. If that is the case, an experienced attorney will be able to help you present your claims to insurance, in order to get you compensation for your pain and suffering, medical bills, and all other damages caused as a result of the accident.
