A man in his 30s lost his life in a fatal bicycle accident in Las Flores near Mission Viejo this week.  On Monday afternoon the California Highway Patrol (CHP) was called to an accident scene on Oso Parkway between Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita early in the afternoon.  A bicyclist (who was pronounced dead at the scene) had been struck by a white pickup truck.  The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. There is no initial evidence of a DUI or that distracted driving on the part of the pickup driver actually caused the accident. Fatal Car Accident in Huntington Beach Yesterday

A violent fatal car accident in Huntington Beach yesterday is under investigation.  Huntington Beach police were called to the area of Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive around 9:30 pm last night.  A collision between a red 2007 Honda Fit and a 2012 Volkswagen Passat resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to three others. The Passat had major damage to the front end of the vehicle.  The Fit suffered a substantial impact to the passenger side of the vehicle.  Reports from the scene suggested the Volkswagen came into contact with the Honda Fit resulting in traumatic injuries to the occupants of that vehicle.  Both occupants of the Honda unfortunately lost their life in this accident. 4 Motorcyclists Lost Their Lives in a Santiago Canyon Crash

4 motorcyclists lost their lives in a Santiago Canyon crash yesterday.  The California Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal accident between 2 motorcycles on Santiago Canyon Road just south of Hicks Haul Road around 4:30 PM yesterday.  Paramedics found two women and two men had lost their lives when they arrived at the scene. CHP reports from the scene believe the motorcycle driving north attempted to pass another vehicle when it struck the southbound motorcycle head-on.  Each motorcycle had a male and female passenger.
