Benjamin Golden, the former Taco Bell executive who faces four criminal counts for his assault on an Uber Driver Friday October 30, has been served with a civil lawsuit.  The lawsuit was filed on behalf of the Uber driver, Edward Caban, by the Law Firm of Rivers J. Morrell, III.  Mr. Caban suffered physical and emotional trauma during the attack.  He has since been forced to quit his work and move out of the area.

California law provides for the recovery of damages and costs associated with medical bills, trauma, counseling, loss of income, and the painful life experience Mr. Caban has been forced to endure.  It also provides punative penalties as a civil deterrent.
