Orange County officials have released additional information on the pit bull who attacked a Huntington Beach woman who was 9 months pregnant.  The pit bull had previously bitten a man in February requiring more than 100 stitches.  The County had identified the animal as “vicious” requiring the owner to keep it in a muzzle whenever the dog was outside.

The dog’s owner appealed that decision saying the bite was accidental and successfully convinced the county to remove the “vicious” label.  The dog then bit the pregnant woman while on a walk tearing out part of her arm and requiring her to be taken to the hospital by ambulance where a cesarean section was performed to deliver her child.
